The NHTSA has put a stop sale for the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride due to concern of the tow hitch harness possibly causing a fire. This recall covers 245,030 Hyundai Palisades and 39,280 Kia Tellurides in U.S. and Canada from 2020 to 2022 model years. The automakers have advised customers to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until repairs are complete.

For Hyundai, the cause of the tow hitch issue is still under investigation and working on a remedy. Kia is also still working on a remedy but in the meantime stop selling the four-pin tow hitch harness and return any unsold harnesses to the automaker.
