Fleet Focus – 2017 Ford Fusion

The refreshed 2017 Ford Fusion delivers an improved driver experience through a focus on performance and an upgraded interior to increase comfort and convenience. All trim levels now come equipped with push button start and a rotary gear shift dial. This dial offers a low-profile shifting mechanism that uses less room on the center console. An electric parking brake was placed just behind the dial, resulting in the repositioning of the front cup holders to improve the Fusion’s ergonomics and storage volume. This also enabled Ford to add easy-to-access storage within the console in addition to a smartly placed slot for cell phones.

Continuing with the interior, both Android and Apple CarPlay are available, enabling drivers to utilize their phone’s technology via the center console touchscreen.

A string of LEDs just above the headlamps provides a sleek and aggressive look to the front end. Ford has also equipped the fog lamps and tail lights with bright, efficient LED lamps. The LED headlamps and fog lamps can be added as an additional option on the SE model and are standard on the Titanium, Platinum, and Sport trim levels.

To aid in improving the Fusion’s fuel efficiency, the 1.5L EcoBoost comes standard with Auto Start-Stop Technology and the Fusion Hybrid is now available in all trim levels (S, SE, Titanium, & Platinum). In addition to the1.5L (23/34mpg) and the Hybrid, Ford is also offering a 2.5L I4 (21/32mpg) and a turbocharged 2.0L (21/31mpg). Improved suspension and sound dampening capabilities also help to progress the overall feel and driving experience.
