Stellantis Secures Future Microchip Supplies
Nissan Motor Co. is the first Japanese automaker to announce plans to plug into Tesla’s Supercharger network. Nissan said that its electric vehicle customers will have access to Tesla’s Superchargers in the U.S. and Canada next year. Adapters will be provided then. Starting in 2025, the region’s Nissan and Infiniti electric vehicles will also be equipped with the North American Charging Standard port, allowing the EVs to plug into the Supercharger network.
“Adopting the NACS standard underlines Nissan’s commitment to making electric mobility even more accessible as we follow our Ambition 2030 long-term vision of greater electrification,” Jeremie Papin, Nissan Americas chairperson, said in a statement.
