GM Signs Agreements with Suppliers for EV Material

General Motors said on Tuesday it signed a multi-year agreement with LG Chem and Livent Corp to secure key raw materials used to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles. GM said it had lined up supplies for all battery raw materials, including lithium, nickel, cobalt, and cathode active material and cathode active material. All of these materials will help reach its goal of producing 1 million EVs annually in North America by end of 2025.
