J.D. Power Says Consumers are on the Fence about EVs
Nearly 60% of all new-vehicle shoppers are on the fence whether they would consider an EV for their next vehicle purchase or lease. Consumers’ willingness is largely dependent on their firsthand experience with these vehicles while others credit insufficient information to be decisive. Lacking information about EVs include applicable incentives, tax credits, utility rate adjustments, resale, quality, longevity, etc. Ultimately, automakers need to increase consumers’ experience and education before widespread adoption can occur.
